During the warmer months, you'll find me outside enjoying nature.  I have one main perennial bed and several smaller gardens at my home.

My zone 5 perennial bed was planted in the fall of 2004 with a layout and plants ordered from Bluestone Perennials.  However, I have added my own touches here and there.  It consists of many easy-to-grow perennials that put on a great show from spring until fall.

I also have a small pond with a few goldfish and water plants.  My husband installed this for me in the spring of 2003 and then enlarged it in September of 2005.  In the spring of 2007 we finally added a UV filter and our green water problems seem to be over.

I have a shade garden (also from Bluestone) in between my house and garage and my Pink & Purple garden on the opposite side.  Well, it used to be just pink and purple until my mom gave me some pink cranesbill geranium that had some creeping buttercups stowing away in them!  Oh well.  I can be heartless and pull out any unwanted sprouts!

I also have a small vegetable garden where I grow tomatoes and carrots and other yummy things.

My newest project is a shady pathway in the back of my yard.  The plants were planted in the fall of 2009 and the project should be complete in 2010.

Photos and records of all my plants can be found by visiting my Gardening Journal on a website called Dave's Garden.  Just click here to view it.

My gardening blog can be found on the same website and it can be viewed by clicking here.
